5 Easy Snack Ideas

Finding it hard to stop yourself from snacking on those naughty treats around 4pm? Try one of these 5 tasty, easy snack ideas to avoid reaching for the biscuit tin…

We all experience it, that 4pm hunger pang just before the end of work. It’s so tempting at this time of day to have a little naughty treat to get you through until dinner. I have done this many times before, feeling bad about being hungry at this time of day and just sneaking in a biscuit or two to fill me up quickly until my super healthy meal. But what you probably don’t realise is that sugary treat might taste good as it goes in but it will cause a spike in your blood sugar level and will leave you feeling hungry quicker than a healthy snack and is also likely to contain more fat and sugar than something a lot more satisfying and guilt free.

These snack ideas are so easy to make and do not cost a lot of money to purchase. Mix it up and try a new one each day and choose your favourite!

Take two rice cakes and spread either soft cheese, or peanut butter on them. They both taste it – it depends if you fancy something sweet or savory.

 In a blender place:

  • Mixed frozen berries

  • Protein Powder (optional)

  • Greek Yoghurt

  • Spinach

  • Almond Milk

Blend for a few seconds and then serve. Simple and easy. I don’t tend measure out exactly how much of each ingredient to put in, just add as much or as little of each item as you fancy. I usually put in the foods in the order above and add as much almond milk until the foods are just about covered.
