When I am in a rush and wanting something healthy and low in calories to eat, I always reach for Greek or Natural Yogurt and add lots of different toppings to make it more exciting…
You may not know it; but natural, unsweetened yogurts are filled with lots of goodness and can help you along to your health goals.
Reasons why you should be eating yogurt:
- Yogurt contains essential “good-for-you” bacteria.
- It is loaded with healthy vitamins.
- It is a high-protein meal.
- Yogurt can help you to loose weight.
So what ever your chosen style of yogurt, the topping choices are endless and with so much variation, you can decide what your body needs and craves, and go from there!
Below is my favourite choice for a quick and easy snack that is packed full of protein, omega 3, calcium and healthy fats which are all essential things I need, being a vegetarian.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup natural yogurt
- 1 tbsp natural peanut butter
- 1 tsp honey
- 3 tsp lecithin granules
- 2 tbsp milled linseed
- 1 handful of dried fruit and nuts
Method
- Pour the yogurt into a bowl or cup
- Add your chosen ingredients
- Mix well
- Serve immediately or store in the fridge until you are ready to enjoy.
