Whether you are trying to tame a sweet craving; or making a healthy treat for family and friends, these protein cookies fit the bill. They are quick to make and the ingredients are easy to find.

– Makes 12 cookies

~ 3/4 cup peanut butter

~ 1/3 honey

~ 1 free range egg

~ 1/4 tsp baking powder

~ 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

~ pinch of salt

~ 15g chocolate protein powder (I used ‘MyProtein’ brand)

~ Small handful of dark chocolate chips

Method

1. Start by pre-heating the oven to Gas Mark 4 / 180C.

2.Place all the ingredients into a bowl and mix well.

3.Roll a piece of the mixture into a small ball in the palm of your hand and squash down slightly.

4. Place onto a baking tray, ensuring even space between each cookie.

5. Bake in the oven for about fifteen minutes.

6. Remove from the oven and allow to cool.
