Try this sequence to help build strength in the arms and shoulders.

Strong shoulders are essential to hold arm balances and poses that require your arms to be extended such as Warrior 2 and Triangle. Also, the stronger your shoulders are the less pain you are likely to have into your shoulder blades and neck.

The poses included in this video will use all the muscles in and around the shoulders which, over time will help to build strength.

 

As with all poses, you can modify and adjust them as you need to and I would recommend having a yoga strap (or something you can hold on to) to hand just in case some poses need a little help with.
