
11 Oct Homemade Muesli
Shop bought muesli is often filled with sugar or super expensive. With this homemade muesli, the ingredients can be purchased quite cheaply and will last you a lot longer than your shop bought muesli so you will be able to make more than one batch!
Homemade Muesli
– 200g oats
– 100g coconut
– 50g Pumpkin seeds
– 100g sunflower seeds
– 200g dried fruit of your choice (I used cranberries and raisins)
– 100g milled flaxseed and sesame seeds
– 3 tbsp coconut oil
– 3 tbsp agave nectar
– 2 tsp cinnamon
– Pinch of salt
– 2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
– Pre-heat the oven to 200C/400F/Gas 6.
– Mix all the dry ingridents together.
– Heat the coconut oil and agave nectar on a low heat until melted.
– Add the coconut oil and agave nectar mixture with the dry ingredients and mix well.
– Place the mixture into a high sided roasting tray.
– Cook in the oven for around 20 minutes or until the muesli begins to go a golden brown colour.
– Remove from the oven and allow to completely cool until mixing up.
– Store in an air tight container.
Serving suggestion – Sprinkle onto Greek Yoghurt for the perfect breakfast or afternoon snack!
